USCB Celebrates Opening of its Hilton Head Island Campus in Grand Style

Led by USCB Chancellor Al M. Panu, Ph.D., and joined by our faculty and representatives
of state, county and local governments, USCB conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony November 14 to formally open the Hilton Head Island Campus, home of our baccalaureate program in Hospitality Management. The modern, spacious
$25 million campus building encompasses 40,000 square feet and features academic and
experiential-learning classrooms, including a beverage laboratory and demonstration
kitchen; a tiered seminar room with 102 seats to be shared with the Osher Lifelong
Learning Program; two centers of learning to provide vital information to tourism-industry
leaders, and more. In addition to newspapers, the event drew media coverage from four
television stations, and Hilton Head Monthly and Local Life magazines.
